Description
The gatepiers and wall to the stable block southwest of Chicheley Hall date from the 18th century and are constructed of brick. The wall features moulded brick coping and includes a high wall on the eastern side that faces the southern forecourt. This wall has a pair of stone piers flanking a central entry to the stable block, which are adorned with moulded cornices and lead eagles. At the southeast corner, there is an ashlar stone pier, while the southwest corner has a pair of gatepiers made of gauged brick, also with stone cornices and ball finials. On the western side, there is a low wall with a semicircular central projection.
