Description

Chicheley House is a house that was formerly a vicarage, built in the early 19th century in the Gothic Revival style. It features painted stucco and slate roofs, with three chimneys and two storeys plus an attic. The south front has three bays and three gables, with the central gable being slightly larger. Each gable has parapets and kneelers. The windows are mullioned and transomed, with hoodmoulds, and there are canted bay windows with slate roofs on the left and central bays of the ground floor. To the right, there is a two-light window, with a door and a sash window positioned between the main bays. On the first floor, there are three three-light windows, with a narrow one-light window in between, and a small attic window in each gable. The west elevation features the main entrance, which has a Tudor arched doorway set within a castellated porch.
