Chicheley War Memorial

Chicheley War Memorial is located on the east side of the junction of Hall Lane and Newport Road, approximately 36 meters south of Home Farmhouse, which is also a listed building. The memorial is surrounded by a curved hedge at the back and has posts with a chain at the front. Standing about 4 meters tall, the stone memorial features a Latin cross that rises from a moulded collar atop an octagonal shaft. The base of the cross shaft is moulded and sits on a three-tiered octagonal base, which is elevated on a low, two-stepped octagonal plinth.

The main dedicatory inscription is incised around the upper tier of the base and reads: "IN GRATEFUL AND PROUD MEMORY OF THE MEN OF CHICHELEY WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE WAR 1914-1919." The names of the fallen are carved into the faces of the middle tier, with one name on each face, along with the year of their death.
