Description

Roadside is a house dating from the 18th century, with a 19th-century east range. It is constructed of coursed rubblestone and features a plain clay tile roof. The original 18th-century block is two bays wide and two storeys high. The gable elevation includes a two-light casement window and an off-centre square, flat-roofed oriel window with two lights on the first floor. The gable is coped and has kneelers. The road-facing front has two-light casements in the right-hand bay. The garden or south front features a 19th-century three-pane sash door, a two-light casement on the first floor, and stone-moulded eaves. The 19th-century lower east range, which is two bays wide and two storeys high, has two-light casements and a slate roof.
