Description

This is a small, one-and-a-half-story timber-framed cottage with a thatched roof, dating to the 17th or 18th century. It is located on the opposite side of Simpson Road from numbers 456 and 458. The timber frame's studding and bracing are exposed, and the infill consists of plastered wattle and daub, later painted brick. The cottage has been restored, including the installation of new casement windows and a thatched dormer. A garage is situated at the west end; this was likely a former barn or outhouse and is part of the same block, arranged in a long-house pattern. Numbers 203 and 205 form a group with numbers 456 and 458 across the road.
