Description

The wall surrounding the churchyard, with gates at the east and west ends, dates from around 1680 and is contemporary with the church. It is a low red brick wall, approximately 4 feet high, featuring a triangular brick coping. The wall curves up to the gatepiers at each end of the church, which are large square brick piers with red brick quoins. These piers have moulded stone cornice capstones topped with ball finials. The gates are modern.
