Description
The Hospice of Our Lady and St. John is a former house that has been converted into a hospice. It dates from the 18th and 19th centuries and has undergone alterations. The building is constructed of red brick, with the northern wing featuring an old tiled roof and the southern block having a hipped slate roof. It is two storeys high. The entrance front faces north and includes a modern porch with a slate roof at the angle, alongside an older service wing on the right and one bay of sash windows on the left. The southern front has four bays of sash windows, although the ground floor has been altered. The western wing is similar to the others but includes modern extensions to the west.
