Description

The street wall and gates to number 38, known as Calverton Lodge, date from the mid-19th century. The gates are made of cast iron and feature spiked rails. They are flanked by brick piers topped with panelled stone caps and ball finials. The house is set back from the street by a 10-foot brick wall, which has wall buttresses to the left of the gates, likely constructed around the same time. This structure, along with numbers 34, 35A, 35, and 38, forms a cohesive group.
