Description

The building at 2 Wolverton Road is a former school master's house that is attached to St Mary's Church School and is now known as the Plough Inn. It was constructed around 1873 and is two stories tall with a one-window half-hipped gable front facing the street. The structure is made of coursed rubble with brick quoins, dressings, a plinth, and lacing courses. It features a fretted bargeboard and has a four-light window on the first floor with brick nogging in a relieving arch. The ground floor has a later shop front with two fascia brackets. On the south-west side, there is only one pointed window on the ground floor, along with later alterations to the south-east side.
