Description
The Congregational Chapel, dated 1823, is located on Wolverton Road in Stony Stratford. The building features a gable end facing the street and has a one-storey extension to the right. It is two storeys tall with three windows, constructed of brick with stone arches above the windows and a continuous sill band over the ground floor. The round-headed windows have glazing bars and 'Y' glazing. In the centre, there is a round-headed entrance. The chapel has a black brick plinth and a pediment formed by brick modillions in the gable. The pediment contains a shaped stucco plaque that reads 'Congregational Church 1823'. The single-storey slate-roofed extension to the right has a central round-headed door with a fanlight above, flanked by windows that match the pattern of those in the main block.
