Description
Nos 65 and 67 on Maidstone Road are a pair of houses built in the late 18th century. They are constructed from gault brick and feature a Welsh slate roof. The houses have a double-depth plan and include ridge stacks, standing three storeys tall.
The front facade has a three-window range, with the central bay indicating the position of the stairs. The first floor has 8-pane sash windows, although the window at No 65 has been renewed. Both the first and ground floors have 12-pane sash windows, all set in reveals under rubbed brick flat window arches. There are paired central doorways accessed by a flight of stone steps, featuring panelled doors in reveals with a fanlight above.
At the rear, No 67 has had its sashes removed, while No 65 retains one sash window, with the remaining windows fitted with casements.
