Description
Nos 99 and 101 High Street are a pair of houses built in the early 19th century, constructed in two phases as indicated by a vertical masonry joint between them. They are made of stock brick with some timber framing and brick infill, topped with Welsh slate roofs. The buildings rise to three storeys and feature a regular five-window arrangement, with three windows on one side and two on the other. The parapet has stone coping and a cornice band. All upper windows are hornless sashes, either nine or twelve panes, set in reveals beneath rubbed brick flat arches, with stone sills. The ground floor includes three round-headed windows with horned sashes and two round-headed doors, all recessed and connected by an impost band. The doors are panelled and topped with fanlights. Between the doorways, there is a large flat-arched vehicular entry, framed by slender scantling on the side walls. At the rear, No 101 has hornless sash windows, while No 99 features horned sash windows. The interior has not been inspected.
