Description
No. 9 Prospect Row is a house built in the early 18th century. It features painted stucco with brick stacks on the right-hand gable and behind the ridge, topped with a tiled roof. The style is Early Georgian, and the plan is double-depth. The building stands three storeys high and has a two-window range. The front is parapeted and framed by shallow pilaster strips and a frieze. The left-hand doorway has a raised surround with enriched brackets and a cornice that breaks forward over them, along with a plate-glass rectangular overlight and a door with a single raised panel. The windows have wide, shallow surrounds with vermiculated panels, voussoirs, and keys, as well as aprons featuring three half-round panels, and they contain 6/6-pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected. Prospect Row was constructed between 1705 and 1756 and is part of a notable mixed terrace of early to mid-Georgian houses.
