Description

Court Sole is a house dating from the 16th century, with an addition from the 18th century. The east-facing portion is timber-framed and brick-clad, while the roof is tiled with end stacks. The front elevation has three windows, with modern glazing bar sashes on the first floor, and three bays on the ground floor. A panelled door is located on the right-hand side, above which is a transom light and a flat hood. A parallel block was added to the rear in the 18th century, creating a double-depth plan. The interior reveals exposed timbers, and the eastern end shows evidence of jetties, along with original windows and diagonal mullions.
