Description

The Town Hall, built in 1877-78 by T R Saunders, features a late classical stucco front. It is two storeys high and has double pilasters above the ground floor piers, with a deep parapet over the cornice. The centre break is pedimented and showcases double Ionic columns on the ground floor and Composite columns on the first floor, with niches in between. The building has archivolt arched pilastered windows arranged in three bays and a large archivolt keyed arched portal.
