Description

This is a three-storey stucco-faced building dating to the 18th century, situated on a rounded corner and incorporating the adjacent number 2 Victoria Street. The upper floors are divided into four bays, one of which is blind, with Ionic pilasters featuring moulded bases in antis and flanking end quoin pilasters. A frieze and shallow moulded cornice run along the top. The upper floors have sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor retains parts of an original shop front, although it has been altered and extended in front of number 2 Victoria Street. The original elements include a cornice and a blocking course that acts as a sill course to the first floor. Incised panelled pilasters frame the shop windows and door of number 2 Victoria Street.
