Description

St Catherine’s View is a row of cottages dating to approximately 1830-40. It was likely constructed by refacing earlier fisherman's cottages. The cottages are two storeys high, built with stucco facing over a rubble core. They have gable-ended slate roofs and each cottage features one window with casement frames, some of which retain small panes of glass. The doors are plain. The group value of St Catherine’s View is derived from its contribution to the character of the streetscape, particularly in conjunction with Nos 2 to 6 (even) and Nos 1 to 10 (consec).
