Description

This is a barn located to the west of Gotten Manor, dating from the 17th century or earlier, and re-roofed in the 18th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a hipped corrugated iron roof on the south side. The barn has seven bays, with the northernmost five being the earliest. These five bays include two ventilation slits and an opening with brick dressings. Inside, there is a queen post roof with through purlins. The southern two bays are likely an 18th-century addition. A pointed arch can be found on the interior end wall, which may be from an earlier period.
