Description
Dolward Barn is a barn that likely dates from the late 17th century to the early 18th century. It is constructed of dry coursed rubble with a stone slate roof and consists of six bays arranged in a north/south orientation. The west elevation features ventilator slits that are partly blocked in the left and right bays, and there is a low entrance with a pegged door frame and a ledged door located in the second bay from the left. Both the north and south gables have pitching-holes. The rear, or east elevation, has two large rubble buttresses, one on either side of two low framed entrances on the left side. Further to the right, there is a full-height entrance that aligns with the low entrance on the main west elevation. Inside, the barn includes raking struts and shaped rafter ends. The east side of the barn is obscured by a late 20th-century barn made of galvanised metal, which is not included in the listing.
