Description

This is an early to mid-19th century semi-detached house of two storeys and a semi-basement, located on Staplers Road. The houses are of stucco construction with a low-pitched slate roof and projecting eaves. Each house has three windows, one situated within a slightly recessed entrance bay. Number 18 has a blind wing to the west, while Number 20 has a wing to the east, both wings being two storeys in height and containing two windows. The windows are recessed and have sash glazing bars, with block sills. The ground floor windows are fitted with Venetian shutters and fretted blind cases. A moulded cornice is present above the windows, supported by consoles. Horizontal bands delineate the floors of the building. The front door of Number 18 is recessed and consists of three full-length fielded panels; Number 20 has a modern glazed door. A flight of steps leads to each door, with rendered sides and capped piers at the base.
