Description
The barn at Tapnell Farm is an 18th-century structure built from stone rubble with brick dressings. At the time of the survey, part of the roof was tiled while another section was missing. The east front features a series of brick ventilation slits and two cart entrances, while the west front has some inserted windows. The barn consists of nine bays and has a roof supported by pegged rafters, two tiers of purlins, and angled queen struts. It is noted for being unusually large for a barn.
