Description

The barn at Compton Farm is an early 18th-century structure that has been altered in the 20th century. It is constructed from Isle of Wight stone rubble, featuring both stone and brick dressings. The roof is currently covered with asbestos sheeting. On one side, there is a gabled cart entrance, along with one triangular and one vertical ventilation slit. The barn has five bays and an angled Queen strut roof with staggered purlins.
