Description
Myrtle Cottage is a house dating from the early 19th century, with a later extension added in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed Isle of Wight stone rubble, featuring red brick dressings. The building has a hipped slate roof topped with red brick chimneystacks. It is two storeys high and has three windows, which are 16-pane sash windows. The central entrance features a doorcase with a six-panelled door, where the top two panels are glazed. Above the door is a gabled wooden porch that has a sunray pattern on the gable and trelliswork supports. To the left, there is a later 19th-century extension built with matching materials, while a 20th-century concrete extension on the right is not considered of special interest.
