Description
Hulverstone Manor is a house dating from the 17th century, originally designed as a lobby entrance house, with alterations made in the 18th and 20th centuries. It is constructed from Isle of Wight stone and features ashlar quoins. The roof is slate and includes two brick chimneystacks. The building has two storeys and attics in the gable end, with a window arrangement of 1:3. The first floor has casement windows, while the ground floor features three windows: one double sash, one four-light stone mullioned window, and one triple casement. The door at the front is from the 20th century. The manor has a deep plinth and gable ends that are topped with stone coping and kneelers. The left side elevation includes one triple stone mullioned casement, while the right side has two double stone mullioned windows. The rear elevation has three later casements. Inside, the manor retains a beam with a lamb's tongue stop and an early 18th-century two-panelled door.
