Description

Border Cottage and Old Myrtle Cottage are a pair of cottages dating from the 18th century. They are constructed from stone rubble with red brick dressings and feature a 20th-century tiled roof topped with a central brick chimneystack. The buildings are two storeys high and have two windows. The first floor is fitted with 9-pane sash windows, while the ground floor has 6-pane sash windows and 20th-century doors. At the rear, there is a parallel range that dates from the mid-19th century, built with matching materials for Old Myrtle Cottage and 20th-century concrete for Border Cottage.
