Description
No 52 Spencer Road is a detached house built around 1830. It has two storeys and a basement, featuring three windows. The exterior is stuccoed with an eaves cornice and a hipped slate roof. Panelled pilasters frame the front, which is interrupted by a tent-shaped canopy of the ground floor verandah, supported by trellised iron columns. The glazing bars are intact. Due to the slope of the ground, the north front has an extra storey, which serves as a basement on the south front. An iron balcony has been added to the top floor on the south side. This building is part of a group that includes No 44 and Nos 50 to 54 (even) along with Nos 58 and 60.
