Description

The Pump to The Cottage is a water pump dated 1803, located in Godshill. It features a lead pump with a spout and a figure of Flora, which is flanked by the date. There is also an iron pump behind it, which has lost its wooden casing; this casing is inscribed with "No 2. Runwell British made." The lead pump resembles one found at Gotten Manor in Chale parish.
