Description
French Mill is a former mill that has been converted into a house, dated 1781. It is constructed from coursed rubble from the Isle of Wight, with ashlar quoins and a slate roof. The building is L-shaped, featuring two storeys and attics, and has two windows. The left side has a projecting gable, while the right gable end has a blocked mullioned window. There is a modern stone porch with a slate roof. This site was previously home to a mill that is mentioned in the Domesday Book.
