Description

The former Hackney horse stable with a hayloft above at Lessland Farm dates from the early 18th century and is currently derelict. It is constructed of coursed stone rubble, and its roof is now covered with corrugated iron sheeting. The gable end features kneelers. There is one entrance with a flat lintel. On the northwest side, there is a wooden architrave surrounding the hayloft door, along with a plank door that has pintle hinges. Inside, the stable includes a chamfered beam with run-out stops and a wooden harness peg. The floor to the hayloft is missing.
