Description

Little Budbridge is a house dating from the late 17th or early 18th century, with a datestone of 1731. It was extended and the windows were replaced in the early 19th century. The house is primarily constructed of Isle of Wight stone rubble with ashlar dressings, although the left side elevation is of red brick, and there’s an 18th-century brick porch. The roof is tiled, with a central brick chimney stack.

The original house was a lobby entrance house of two storeys with an attic in the gable end, originally comprising three bays. The first floor now has three early 19th-century tripartite sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor windows are 20th-century top-opening casements. A deep plinth runs around the base of the building. The brick porch has a round arch.

The right side of the house has mullioned windows, which are now blocked and have drip mouldings. A red brick wing was added in the early 19th century, with grey brick headers.
