Description

The Anchorage is an early 19th century row of cottages located on Castle Road in West Cowes. Number 2 is weatherboarded, while numbers 4 and 6 are stuccoed and feature tiled mansard roofs. The cottages are two storeys high, with attics, and have a five-window facade with two dormers. Number 2 has three sash windows set within moulded architrave surrounds, and a dormer window designed in the style of a Venetian window. Numbers 4 and 6 each contain a single window; the windows in number 4 have lost their original glazing bars. A stringcourse runs along the facade of numbers 4 and 6. Trellised wooden porches with tent-shaped canopies are present.
