Description
Eleanor House and India Cottage are a row of three stucco-faced houses built around 1850, located on the north side of Grove Road. India Cottage is two storeys tall, while the other two houses are three storeys, with South View being the tallest in the center. The flanking houses each have three windows featuring glazing bar sashes. Eleanor House has two two-light, colonetted shop windows and a central house door. India Cottage features a glazed gabled hood over its four-panel door. All houses have gable end slate roofs and flat eaves. South View has a bargeboarded gable, one sash window on the second floor, and a two-storey canted bay, along with a small bargeboard gabled porch. This row of houses serves as an effective terminal feature to Tulse Hill.
