Description

No 9 High Street is a building dating from around 1850. It is similar in style to No 1, featuring a gabled projection with bargeboards on the right side. This design serves as a balancing feature within the row alongside No 1. The building has drip moulds above the windows and an oriel window on the first floor beneath the gable. Instead of a carriage arch, there is a pilastered window with a bracket cap.

Nos 1 to 9 (odd) form a group with Nos 2 and 4 Church Street, while Nos 3 and 5 are of local interest. There is no No 7 in this sequence.
