Description

No 4 Church Street is a building dating from around 1840. It has three storeys and features a stucco-faced elevation with a cornice and parapet. The façade includes three widely spaced windows, with marginal glazing on the sashes. A large, central, canted wooden bay projects from the front and contains two marginal glazed sash lights, topped with a moulded cornice. The shop front has been altered and is flanked by round-headed doorways. The doors are four-panel designs with plain fanlights above, and there are keystones above the arches. No 4 Church Street is part of a group with Nos 1 to 9 (odd) High Street, while Nos 3 and 5 High Street are of local interest. There is no No 7.
