Description

No 9 High East Street is an early 19th-century building featuring a two-window stucco front across three storeys and an attic. It has a notable double bowed shopfront with panelled pilasters and a bowed dentil entablature, which continues over the doorway on the right side. This doorway also has similar pilasters and a fanlight. The shop windows have glazing bars but modern glass. The shopfront is particularly distinguished. Nos 1 to 9, along with No 7A, form a group with the Kingdom Hall and The Old House at Home on Salisbury Street.
