Description
Grove Hill Cottages are a pair of two-storey cottages built around 1840-1850, constructed from coursed stone rubble. They feature gabled breaks on either side, which contain two-storey canted stone bays with pent roofs. The recessed center has two first-floor windows, with the eaves raised in the gables above. The cottages have Gothic pattern glazing and a door with panelling, which includes a drip moulded shield plaque positioned between the two windows. A rustic wood verandah forms a porch and extends across the canted bays. The cottages are situated on a terrace that is raised above the road. They are part of a group that includes Yarborough Villa, the gate and gate piers to Yarborough Villa, and Primrose Bank.
