Description
This is an early 19th century building on Union Street, originally comprising numbers 32, 34, and 33. It is stuccoed and features seven windows in total. The northern section of the building is an extension to the adjacent Post Office, which was formerly a separate building (number 32). This section has two windows, with one slightly recessed, a cornice and parapet topped by a small central pediment. The first floor features a flattened bow window of three lights, with pilasters separating the lights and a cornice above. The ground floor is rusticated. The remainder of the building, including number 34 and the Post Office, has a parapet without a pediment and pilasters flanking each building from the first to second floor. Two flattened bow windows, each of three lights separated by pilasters and with cornices above, are also present. Between these bow windows on the first floor are two sash windows with architrave surrounds and cornices supported on consoles. The original glazing bars are intact above the ground floor, which has been modernised. Numbers 30 to 39B form a group.
