Description

Nos 1 and 2 on Cross Street are part of an early 19th-century row of buildings. They stand three storeys tall and are rendered with stucco, featuring pilaster strips, a plain frieze, a cornice, and a blocking course with wide eaves beneath a slate roof. The cornice on No 2 has been removed. No 1 has three windows, while No 2 has one. On the second floor, No 1 has recessed sash windows with intact glazing bars and block sills. The first floor of No 1 features recessed two-light casements, while No 2 has a tripartite recessed sash window with plain strips and later glazing bars. There are early 20th-century and modern shop fronts present. Nos 1 to 5 on Cross Street form a group.
