Description
Lloyds Bank is a large early 19th century building located at 35 Union Street. It has a high elevation and consists of three storeys with three windows. The exterior is stuccoed, with the ground floor featuring rustication. Pilasters flank the front from the first to the second floor, and there is a cornice and parapet with caps above the pilasters, along with a small pediment in the center.
On the first floor, there are two flattened bow windows, each with three lights and pilasters between the lights, topped with a cornice. In the center, there is a window in a moulded architrave surround, with a cornice and pediment above supported on consoles. The second floor windows also have moulded architrave surrounds, and the glazing bars are intact above the ground floor. The central doorway is flanked by pilasters, and there is another four-centred doorway with obtusely pointed fanlights, one of which appears to provide access to No 34. The ground floor bank windows have been modernized.
