Description
3 and 4 Market Street are houses that have been converted into shops, dating from the late 18th century. The exterior features mathematical tiles and a tiled roof, with the left side hipped. The buildings are two storeys high and have a three-window range between them. There are two entrances near the center of the front elevation, with the left entrance being lower than the right. All openings are flat arched. On either side of the paired entrances, there are wide shop windows; the right window is tripartite with recessed spandrels and a 20th-century surround. The first-floor windows have 2 x 2 sashes that reflect a late 18th-century or early 19th-century design. A brick stack is located on the right party wall. The interior has not been inspected.
