Description
8 and 10 Lawrence Street are houses that have been converted into two shops. They date from the late 17th century and early 19th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The buildings are constructed of painted brick and feature a steep slate roof over the three left-hand bays, while the right-hand bay has a lower pantiled roof.
On the first floor, there are four sash windows with glazing bars. The third window is set higher within a gabled dormer that extends through the eaves and has a rusticated lintel. The ground floor has two modern shopfronts, each with a door located on the right side. The gable to the right of the third window features a coping with tumbled brickwork and a chimney, while the right-hand gable has a rebuilt coping. The interior has not been inspected.
