Description

Numbers 47, 48, and 49, Regency Square, Brighton, are a group of mid-19th century terraced houses. They are stucco-built, with roofs hidden behind a parapet. Each house is three storeys high, with a basement, and has a single-window facade. Number 47 has flat-arched entrances, while numbers 48 and 49 have round-arched entrances, all with a bracketed cornice above. The houses feature full-height canted bays, with basket-arched architraves, pilasters with stepped capitals, and window guards to all floors except the second floors of numbers 47 and 48. Stucco bands delineate the floors, topped by a cornice and blocking course. Chimney stacks are located within the party walls. The interior has not been inspected. Cast iron railings with various finial designs are present at the steps and area.
