Description
The former studio in the grounds of the Church of England Primary School dates from around 1920 and was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens for Sir George Lewis. It is a single-storey building with a square plan, constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding, and features a tiled roof. The entrance on the west side has a flat arch and is sheltered by a simple bracketed canopy. There is an external brick chimney stack on the west side. The east side has a flat-arched window, while the north side features a round-arched window, both of which retain their original glazing and architraves. The eaves on the north side curve upwards to accommodate the window. The roof is pyramidal and topped with a finial. Inside, the ceiling has a cove between two cornices.
