Description
Haresfield Church of England Primary School is a Church of England primary school built in 1873, with two later 20th-century sections that are not of special interest. The building is constructed of brick on a chamfered plinth, featuring cream brick dressings and some decorative blue brick banding. It has a two-colour decorative tile roof with coped stone verges and kneelers, along with a small stone bellcote housing a bell at the west end. The roof has been restored at the east end and includes two small louvred gablet vents on both sides. The north side has two small part-external stacks.
The school is a single-storey structure with a small wing to the north and a projecting gabled porch to the west. On the south face, there are four windows with 3-light stone mullions and coloured quoins. The porch features a steep coped gable with enriched stone at the apex and a small cross, along with a pointed archway adorned with alternate coloured voussoirs and original double tongue and groove doors, as well as small single lights on the returns. Below the bellcote, there is a small stone inset with a carved hare and a motto on a ribbon. The schoolroom remains complete and unaltered on the exterior. The interior has not been inspected.
