Description

No. 37 Vernon Terrace is a circa 1850 terraced house. It is constructed of stucco, with the roof hidden behind a parapet. The house has three storeys over a basement, arranged in a five-window range. A flat-arched entrance is framed by pilasters and a decorative entablature with a triglyph frieze, and includes an overlight. A full-height, segmental bay, two windows wide, extends to the left of the entrance. A horizontal band separates the ground and first floors. The first-floor windows are defined by architraves and cornices; a cornice and blocking course sits above the main structure. The returns to Seven Dials and Goldsmid Road feature a single-storey canted bay and some architraves to windows. The windows are sash windows, likely original to before 1850, and contain plate glass. The interior has not been inspected. Garden walls are present with an upper balustrade and square, corniced piers.
