Description

This detached house was built around 1858. It is constructed of stucco with knapped flint, although the roof was being replaced at the time of inspection. The house is two storeys high with a basement, and has a four-window front. A recessed bay of one window is on the left, creating a double-fronted appearance. The flint is contained within panels outlined by horizontal bands and quoins of stucco, except for the south-east ground floor which is entirely stuccoed. A round-arched, prostyle porch is present, alongside a flat-arched entrance with sidelights and an overlight. All windows are flat-arched, and those on the ground floor have eared architraves and an entablature, which connects to a broad storey band. The first-floor windows also have eared architraves linked to an entablature at bracketed eaves. The sashes are of the original design, except for the western windows. The roof is hipped, with end and ridge stacks on the west wing. The interior has not been inspected.
