Description

Numbers 3, 5, and 7 Russell Crescent are a group of terraced houses dating from around 1845. They are constructed of stucco with Welsh slate roofs. Number 3 has a three-window front and is double-fronted, while Numbers 5 and 7 have a two-window front. There are steps leading to a flat-arched entrance with an overlight and panelled doors of original design, framed by pilasters and an entablature. All windows are flat-arched, with a canted bay to the basement and ground floor. This bay has a bracketed balcony with cast-iron railings and a concave canopy. A storey band runs along the facade, and the windows are mostly original sashes, with the exception of the western first-floor window of Number 3. A bracketed cornice finishes the building, and each house has two dormers. Stacks are located within the party walls. The interior has not been inspected. Cast-iron railings are present along the steps, and there are coped dwarf garden walls made of brick and knapped flint, along with brick corniced gate piers.
