Description
Clevelands is a large detached house located on Hoe Street in Walthamstow, dating from the early 18th century but significantly altered in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of brick with stucco dressings, and it has three storeys plus a basement. The facade is three windows wide, featuring two full-height bay extensions on the right and a one-storey, two-bay extension on the left. The central entrance is segmental-headed and framed with a stucco architrave and cornice. The windows are also segmental-headed, with architraves and sash frames holding plate glass. A stucco cornice runs above the second floor, with stucco bands separating the storeys, and there is a parapet at the top. Inside, the house retains its original staircase, which features twisted balusters and other details.
