Description
St Barnabas' Rectory is a detached rectory built in 1902 by W D Caröe, designed in the Queen Anne style. The building is constructed of red brick with a steeply pitched tiled roof and features tile hanging on the first floor. The south front has two storeys plus a roof storey and consists of five bays, with the second and third bays set forward beneath a gable. There is a bay window on the ground floor with timber mullions and small panes. Above the ground floor, there is a cornice with a decorative tile band below it. The windows are square-headed paired sashed windows with glazing bars, and there are 4-light casemented dormers. A prominent chimney adds to the character of the building, and the entrance is located on the left-hand return, which has facades of a similar design.
