Description
The Rectory is a building located on the south-west side of Malden Road in Cheam. It features a remodelling from the 18th century of a core that dates back to the 17th century. The structure is two storeys tall, constructed of red brick, and has five sash windows. There is a band between the storeys and a modern central brick gabled porch. The roof is a large mansard style covered with old tiles, featuring three flat-top sash dormers. The roof has two spans, with wings extending at the rear.
The Rectory is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 9 (odd) Malden Road, the garden wall to the north of Nos 1 and 3 Malden Road, as well as the garden walls and laundry within the grounds of the Rectory.
